The Lord disciplines,
The ones He does love;
For the one who sins,
Punishment thereof.
Endure discipline,
God is your Father;
A child that would sin,
Would also blither.
If not disciplined,
Family you're not;
Punishment when sinned,
A time when you ought.
For fathers on earth,
We show a respect;
Disciplined since birth,
We did not reject.
So our habits,
His authority;
Father of spirits,
Has priority.
We can and will live,
The Father will bless;
And He will forgive,
If you will confess.
So for a short time,
Your father disciplined;
Committing a crime,
With having had sinned.
For your Father finds,
No joy rather pain;
His discipline binds,
And His love will reign.
