Every time you eat the bread,
Body of life you have been fed;
And from the cup the wine you drink,
The blood of Christ what you must think.
For of the bread whoever does eat,
Has tasted the Lord's flesh and meat;
Or drank from the cup of His wine,
Eternal life you also dine.
Eat or drink an improper way,
It will be noted that you stray;
Then you are held responsible,
The body and blood damnable.
They must decide if they are proper,
If fit for a king or pauper;
If a king then also the Lord,
He should not let it be ignored.
You should serve Him in a good mood,
Always with having gratitude;
Because of all what He has done,
Remembering He is God's Son.
Anyone who does eat and drink,
Must also take the time to think;
Of a judgment upon His own,
And being cast down from the throne.
This is why you are sick and weak,
You have been lost and still you seek;
And many are the living dead,
Still out searching for your death bed.
The Lord judges and disciplines,
For all our immoral sins;
So the Father will not condemn,
And will be forgiven of them.
