I want you to know,
That our fathers;
The way they did go,
Same as your brothers.
They left in a cloud,
And went through a sea;
The lingering crowd,
Were board as could be.
They were getting bold,
And started to sin;
With idols of gold,
That caused them to grin.
By the effigy,
Evil desire;
Feasting and orgy,
To light the fire.
God had sent His wrath,
The angel of death;
Put snakes in their path,
Took away their breath.
Still God gave them grace,
Gave them drink and food;
Giving His embrace,
Showing His good mood.
Any temptation,
That you maybe get;
God has salvation,
If you will forfeit.
