'' Your Poetry Will Forever Hold Sway ''
What is this urge we have to write?
A poetic splurge that shines so bright,
Then there's a surge of blinding light,
Your masterpiece is now on it's way.
Some like rhyme while others free verse,
Take your time and try to rehearse,
It's not a crime so do converse,
Is it the message you want to convey?
Do not be afraid to experiment,
Will it make the grade or will you repent,
What you have made is it well meant,
Does it mean what you want it to say?
Does it bring elation or will you be blamed,
Is it a sensation will it be proclaimed,
Of your creation do not be ashamed,
It is what you want to portray.
Writing is a skill, which can open your eyes,
Going for the kill some will despise,
If you've the will you can win first prize,
Your words can make a wonderful array.
Trying to please all is a bad mistake,
Copying does appal it means you're a fake,
Don't ever stall your futures at stake,
From your principles don't ever stray.
Don't be cynical just tell your own tale,
Try to be clinical and you'll never fail,
When you reach the pinnacle that Holy Grail,
