Remember the good old days,
Generation to generation;
We passed down all the old ways,
For their continuation.
Remember time long ago,
Think of generations past;
How times seem to slowly flow,
How much longer days did last.
Ask your fathers to remind,
Also have your leaders tell;
How the family did bind,
In the home how you did dwell.
When William Penn gave the land,
You were given a tract there;
In Pennsylvania he planned,
For settlers to have their share.
It still belonged to the Lord,
Even though given to you;
And it could not be ignored,
The hand of God helped you through.
Is this how you pay the Lord,
With foolish and sinful crime;
And now you having ignored,
All that was given in time.
Your ancestors in despair,
And God had added His touch;
An uncharted land to share,
Because He loved them so much.
Like an eagle stirs the nest,
God hovers over His young;
Spreading wings to do their best,
As the air fills up their lung.
God guarded them and took care,
Protected and rendered aid;
Now foolish no longer share,
Rudely act as not afraid.
