Praise the Lord O my soul,
And praise His holy name;
I proceed to extol,
Persistent to proclaim.
Praise unto our Lord,
And you never forget;
Forgiveness not ignored,
For the sins that you fret.
Never forget His Son,
How He lived and He died;
All the good He has done,
Dries the tears we have cried.
He forgives all your sin,
Healing your ills and hurts;
His Spirit cleans within,
Helping through your efforts.
He is the One to save,
Rescue you from the pit;
And pull you from the grave,
Persevere not to quit.
Mercy and compassion,
For you that He will crown;
Repent and confession,
To lift when you are down.
He fills life with blessings,
Like eagles and their young;
Try to fly with their wings,
From the nest they are flung.
The Lord is just and fair,
For all who are oppressed;
He does right and will share,
Not to feel so depressed.
Merciful and patient,
Compassionate and kind;
Loving and vigilant,
Bringing peace to your mind,
