Poetic-Verses

'' The Truth Can Be Hard To Believe ''

My wife and me got on really well,
As for animosity you never could tell,
Our lives were never a living Hell.
Each others pain we tried to relieve.

I've loved her from the day we first met,
On us as a couple you'd have placed a large bet,
We didn't know the meaning of regret,
It's better to give than receive.

Our lives were blessed and filled with love,
What we shared was a gift from above,
Delivered to us on the wings of a dove.
What a wonderful partnership we did weave.

We made sure we seen each other right,
Dealt immediately with any plight,
Our past and future looked really bright,
None of us would ever deceive?

Our children were gifted with our demeanour,
As for helping others there's no one keener,
Their characters you won't get any cleaner,
They wear their heart on their sleeve.

Our home is spotless and well maintained,
Our undying love has never waned,
We keep each other entertained,
Neither would give the other the heave.

Making love together was always in fashion,
For each other we had that passion,
Our love for each other we'd never ration,
That's until she cried out, ‘' Steve ‘'

My God that hit me with such awesome force,
It through our relationship way off course,
Now I'm going through a nasty divorce,
Her cheating I did not perceive.

For another guy she had an addiction,
Her love for me was a contradiction,
Reality can be stranger than fiction,
I've been made to feel so naοve.

That person I loved took my dignity away,
For her infidelity I had to pay,
As for the children I did not have a say,
