HALL OF MIRRORS

HALL OF MIRRORS

The hall of mirrors is just like a maze
Tricks with your sense of direction it plays,
Wherever you turn your reflection is there
Into your own eyes you turn and stare.

You must decide which way to turn next
But all these mirrors leave you perplexed,
Do you go backward, forward, left or right
Mirrors everywhere this is such a plight.

They only reflect back to you what you see
Soon it`s no fun anymore you want to be free,
Where there`s an entrance there`s an exit too
But how to find it you just haven`t a clue.

I think life sometimes is just like a maze
Whichever way you turn your past it displays,
You do your best to leave it all behind
But the hall of mirrors keeps you confined.

Turning right or left it stares you in the face
There`s no escape as the mirrors are in place,
To and fro and in circles you may go
But the mirrors show you things from long ago.

In the mirrors are reflections of the past
Turning this way or that way they still last,
You can`t escape the mirrors your past is stored
The hall of mirrors just can`t be ignored.
