I've had my dreams
I've lived them full
Education was the tool
That got me where
I was awhile
For 30 years
Left me to smile
At feeble minds
And messed up hearts
On those whose heads
Color departs
It turns to gray
It is the way
For future youth
Although dying
Seems uncouth
It is a rest
You could be blessed
By something great
Just believing
Love's better than hate
At times, it's scary
I am weary
In pain too long
It's why I write
These heartunes songs
To take away
The tears that well up
In my eyes today

That fills my player
Is a savior
To save me from myself
It seems
Where I come alive
Face beams
With angelic poet feeling
You're going to have tears
If you're dealing
With a poet
Whose had her dreams
And keeps on dreaming
As her mind screams
For what's inside
To be let out
Whether nursery rhymes
Or baby pout
Whether talk of sin
Or talk of praise
I've lived my dream
For all these days
And more dreams will come
Before I'm done
I know that now
Life saves you somehow
And you go on
Through the seasons
Living
Questioning the reasons
Why some go
And you stay
Just accept
It's that way
Live each day
As it's your last
Boredom
Will never come to past
If you do
The dreams you grew
Bloomed into flowers
With the loving positive
Powers
Behind the eyes
That spark the skies
Reflecting back
All that I lack
In this discourse
Of course
So live your dreams
Everyday
Make them a part
Of life
That's all your way
Then in the future
You could see
The dreams you lived
In poetry.
