I encourage that you to bid,
Your bodies after you have rid;
The temptations that entice,
Become a living sacrifice.
Dedicate your life unto God,
Pleasing Him through honor and laud;
Helping others within His name,
And with His Word also proclaim.
This is appropriate for you,
Being able to say and do;
When willing and able to share,
Showing others that you do care.
Do not become like others here,
Only the Lord that should you fear;
Not to be cheating and greedy,
That have no time for the needy.
Rather do change the way you think,
Offering some others your drink;
Determine what God desires,
For extinguishing your fire.
What is good, pleasing and perfect?
That the Lord would never object;
Remember the kindness and love,
That constantly flows from above.
For the kindness that God has shown,
Is filtering down from His throne;
So I ask of you not to think,
Of yourself but with God in sync.
For your thoughts should be leading you,
To what God would want you to do;
With good judgment that you believe,
For the blessings that you receive.
Make sure of all of which you sought,
Conforms to all you have been taught;
And all that you say also agrees,
With the Lord and all His decrees.
