The earth and all that it contains,
Belongs to the Lord as He reigns;
The world and all who live in it,
Belong to Him through His merit.
The Lord had laid His foundation,
Being part of His salvation;
Set firmly upon the rivers,
Down to the seas by His decrees.
Who may go up on the mountain?
The mountain of the Lord the one;
To stand within the holy place,
Where He shines His glory and grace.
He has a pure heart and clean hands,
I can hear softly His commands;
And does not long for any lies,
Nor the wearing of a disguise.
You will get blessings from the Lord,
If you remain in one accord;
And righteousness from your Savior,
For He looks on you with favor.
You are the person who seeks Him,
Be of glad tidings and not grim;
Whoever searches for His face,
The God of Jacob sheds His grace.
So lift up your heads off the gates,
Because the Lord Himself awaits;
Be lifted up you ancient doors,
The Lord of lords comes and restores.
The King of glory who is He?
He is the Lord strong and mighty;
The Lord heroic in combat,
Prepares to slaughter the cattle.
