Segregation

She gave him the Judas kiss

Identifying him to those in the bar

Walked with him arm in arm

Towards his parked car,

Shrieked with delight

As her friends closed in

Stood back to watch

The punishment begin

Boots to ribs

Body and head

All stepped back

As he bled.

pulled him back

to his feet

pushed him back

onto his car seat

left him sitting

dazedly there

just for now

not going anywhere

Just a little warning

From those on the other side

Not to dare

Cross that divide.

Worship as you wish.

Your choice is your own

But keep to yours

And leave our women alone.

She of the Judas kiss

Took one last satisfied look

Just one kiss and thirty seconds

That’s all time the punishment took.
