'' It's Barbarism In Everything But Name ''

A barbaric act,
Yes it's a fact,
Is the severing of a human's head,
Our problem is we claim we use tact,
Is there a correct way to end up dead?

Whoever made the rules?
Were certainly no fools?
To them they don't ever apply,
As for killing they don't use the tools,
Their charter says they cannot die.

We claim we abhor,
This thing called war,
Yet we Humans are constantly fighting,
We no longer bother to ask what for,
On the news we find it exciting.

It's no longer queasy,
Nor even sleazy,
To watch as millions are killed,
To destroy another is so bloody easy,
Despite what their Gods have willed.

Bombs that destroy,
Both girl and boy,
The innocents die the same death,
Is being turned to ash meant to bring joy?
As in agony they take their last breath.

Flame thrower or gun,
Neither is fun,
It's on a par with the murderers axe,
Death from either cannot be undone,
I'm sorry but those are the facts.

What's all the fuss?
Being killed by us,
Means they died by our ethical code,
Through the rules of conflict you could drive a bus,
legalised murder on the world we've bestowed.

With our weapons of woe,
We well know,
The death of others should bring us all shame,
But we being civilised,
We put on a show,
