I've Heard It Said

I've heard it said faith is a flower
That keeps begging to take bloom...
Then almost unexpectedly
Its sweet fragrance fills the room.

I've heard it said hope is a highway
That will neither bend nor curve...
Steering toward the straight and narrow
Taking care to never swerve.

I've heard it said love is a language...
Spreading  His Word to heal and bless
Speaking from the heart of Jesus
Soaking in His lovliness

I've heard it said Heaven's a harbor
Sheltering ships of every kind
And Christ, the Savior, is the lighthouse
Every sailor seeks to find.

I've heard it said The Book's a builder...
Constructing mansions of God's love.
Each one housing God the Spirit...
Each one purchased by The Blood.

I've heard it said God is a gardener
Sowing the Seed designed to save.
Planting His Son upon Mount Calvary
But He's no prisoner of the grave!

I've heard it said faith moves a mountain...
Can cast it straight into the sea...
But I thank God faith is a flower...
He still lets bloom in you and me.

~~Dedicated to my dear friend Lucia~~

Hebrews 11

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.

1 Peter 1:7
That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious
than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found
to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering
gentleness, goodness, faith,
