The body is one unit,
And yet still has many parts;
But only one in Spirit,
And as just one it imparts.
As all the parts form as one,
So it is also with Christ;
As for getting the job done,
Not one part is sacrificed.
By one Spirit we are clean,
And we all had been baptized;
Because all of us have been,
Spiritually sanitized.
Whether you are Jew or Greek,
Either a slave or now free;
It is the Lord, who you seek,
For us all to hear and see.
God gave one Spirit to drink,
To nourish us and quench thirst;
As we contemplate and think,
On the body of Christ first.
The body is not just one part,
You have the foot and the hand;
Of course the lungs and the heart,
And the brain which will command.
You have the eyes and the ears,
The mouth and nose also dwell;
But neither eye never hears,
Also the mouth cannot smell.
Each part has a job to do,
And all parts work together;
Each part helps the body through,
Just as birds need each feather.
So how could the body be,
If missing parts were many;
Without eyes you could not see,
Of the hazards if any.
