Janie, words almost fail me
At this point in time.
Who would have thought
I’d be struggling to rhyme
A remembrance, a tribute,
To someone like you.
I can hardly believe
What has transpired is true!
While my heart is broken,
My mind won’t shut down.
I have so many questions
But no answers are found.
O, I look up to Heaven
With tears on my face.
I know you’re now standing
On the threshold of Grace.
There’s no doubt in my mind
You were truly redeemed…
Because your love for the Savior
Was all that it seemed.
Your hand always reaching
To someone in need.
Your pen always ready
To sow a good seed.
Your faith was reflected
In the poetry you penned…
And now you are reaping
Eternal life without end.
You’ve collected your crown…
Your royal reign’s in full swing.
Aloha, sweet Princess…
Daughter of the Great King.

~~Author’s Note~~
Thanks be to the Lord for supplying me with
the words to this tribute when I am so seriously
heartbroken and upset. Janie was my friend. She
stood by me and supported me when I lost Ish
and through other trials and tribulations. She
dedicated many of her romantic love poems to
Ish and I. I feel she has now met him personally.
She was a kind and loving soul and an excellent
poet. She will be forever missed on PoetryPoem.
My prayers are with her family.
John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her "I am the resurrection and the life,
he who believes in me though he were dead yet
shall he live, and he that lives and believes in me
shall never die. Do you believe this?"
