His dwelling place is grand,
As my soul longs and yearns;
In the court where I stand,
Where the righteous sojourns.
My complete body shouts,
For joy to my Lord God;
And my mind holds no doubts,
As I honor and laud.
Even birds find a home,
The swallows build a nest;
Weary after they roam,
Their future they invest.
For there they hatch their young,
Near the altar of God;
Sounds heard from their lung,
Gives the Lord an applaud.
Thankful that they arrive,
Looking for their mother;
To show they are alive,
With sister and brother.
Blessed those who do live,
Praising God in the house;
Because He does forgive,
Sins of you and your spouse.
Bless to those who find strength,
Their hearts are on His path;
Persist at any length,
For being spared His wrath.
Strength grows feeling secure,
Till each of us appears;
Before the holy door,
Where it calms our fears.
I look at our shield,
With favor on His face;
The anointed are healed,
As He shines on His grace.
One day within His court,
Is better than elsewhere;
All my strength I exhort,
For time with Him to share.
