'' Nothing Ever Changes ''

Since time began,
We walked and we ran,
In our battle just to survive,
Hunted and killed in a tight knit clan,
It's the reason we are still alive.

We needed a head,
They're born not bred,
To lead us and gather our spoils,
Working together we kept ourselves fed,
We shared and managed our toils.

What made us sad?
Is they became power mad,
Around them our world revolved,
We refused to acknowledge we were being had,
With violence their problems were solved,

Sacrificing us,
What's all the fuss,
With common decency they were at odds,
Through this concept you could drive a bus,
So then they invented the Gods.

Worship was king,
Their Gods needed bling,
So we dug up diamonds and gold,
The leaders told us of the joy this would bring,
Over us the elite had a hold.

We'd to build them tombs,
With luxury rooms,
Filled with riches you couldn't measure,
A form of slavery is what one assumes,
But you couldn't show your displeasure.

When the royals die,
No it's not a lie,
After they take their last breath,
Paying for their funeral does not apply,
We subsidise them even in death.

To the present day,
This is still the way,
We're expected to fall at their feet,
Despite the fact they cause us affray,
We still have to hide our conceit.

When they shake their rattle,
We fight like cattle,
In the meantime they're being wined and dined,
They're not inclined to go into battle,
All the while they're robbing us blind.

Since the dawn of time,
We've obeyed these slime,
But to me what really deranges,
Is what they're doing should be classed as a crime,
Which proves that,
