We understand of love, And the love that we know; That love comes from above, From Heaven it does flow. For Christ laid down His life, So we have been advised; Suffered toils and strife, From those who had despised. That means give our own, For other believers; And the Lord will condone, Making us receivers. Salvation we receive, For the faith deep within; Eternal life conceive, Righteously without sin. If someone has enough, Another is in need; Because the times are tough, We must not think of greed. You need to show you care, Showing love through action; So be willing to share, For some satisfaction. Actions that are sincere, Not just with empty words; But to calm any fear, And through Christian standards. Always think of others, Able to sacrifice; Thinking of your brothers, And why Christ paid the price. Your faith will give harvest, Of an abundant fruit; Ripened to taste the best, As faith grows deep its root. Copyright © 2014 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
