NO DATE AND TIME

I am a nurse
Thus am cursed
With date and time
For each and every rhyme

That I must write
Here late at night
When I am working
This poetry's lurking

There in the back of my mind
I go to the starlight of sublime
Where a million words are at play
When the darkness is my day

Oh my, this poetry soup's cold
The date and time to me are gold
If I cannot post them free
What will become of me

Will I run away and cry
How do I write then try
To not type this moment down
To later see I was around

A circle rolling on
Here and then gone
What am I going to do
To remember when I write this poem for you

Do have to guess
Because the clock I need to confess
Everything I say can change so quickly
Will I become a poet sickly

Infirm and needing healing
Because I have to know he feeling
Was only a speck of sand
Dropping in the hourglass of my mind to this poet's hand.
