How long, O Lord, will You forget?
Is it forever and a day?
So how will I repay my debt?
For I always trust and obey.

So how long will You hide Your face?
For I must be able to see;
Since I want to feel Your embrace,
As I want You deep within me.

How long must I make decisions?
All alone without Your wisdom;
Because of seeing the visions,
Showing Your heavenly kingdom.

O such sorrow within my heart,
Constantly day after day;
With no desire to depart,
While I continue to pray.

How long will my enemies win?
Temptations wrestle with my thought;
I keep trying to resist sin,
In my battles that I have fought.

Look on me and answer O Lord,
Giving the insight for my eyes;
Please not to let it be ignored,
I need Your wisdom to be wise.

Each day passing I wonder why,
Lest I sleep in the sleep of death;
No longer living as I lie,
After I take my final breath.

Then my enemies will rejoice,
For they will know that they have won;
As they lift up high with one voice,
Presuming of a job well done.

I trust in Your mercy and grace,
Finding joy in Your salvation;
I will sing to You in Your place,
Facing life with Your foundation.
