SAME!  SAME!

When I served over in South Vietnam we had this saying
Same! Same! which meant that some things never change
No matter how we hoped it would in most cases it didn't

You'd wake up and hope it would be cooler out today
But when you went out it was still over 100 degrees
And within just mere minutes you were soaking wet

The situation was always the same each and every day
No matter what you had hoped for it never happened
That cool breeze you wish would arrive it never did

But you slugged on each day hoping against all hope
That someday things would change for the better there
Until that day you got your orders that sent you home

Many things in life aren't always as we wish they'd be
And we can get frustrated at times at those situations
We'll just hang in there until things finally do change

Eventually things will get better in life for all of us
This was certainly true for me during my year in Vietnam
So whenever I get frustrated I remember back to Vietnam

Even today at times I can get frustrated by some people
And though some can be very aggravating to me & others
I just take a deep breath and say to my self ignore it

People play games and will try to get to you if they can
But I'll take the high road myself and ignore their games
They can't get to me anymore it's just Same! Same!

You can get very angry or frustrated by others in life,
some people live just to aggravate others hoping to get
to them. I learned many years ago that if you let them
see that they are getting to you then you will become a
favorite target of them and their childish behavior as
they only want to anger others in life and they get all
their fun from doing such things to people to get them
mad. I've learned to ignore such foolish idiots as they
are not worth my time and seem to move on to a different
target when they see that they can't get me upset at all
as it is much easier and peaceful to ignore them.
