        My Little Dog  named-Art!

I had a litte black and white dog when I was a kid,
he was a rat-terrier named Art, all he was good for
 was to eat and fart!

Meanest little dog I ever saw, he’d bite the mailman,
the grocer delivery-boy, the meter reader and kids
in the neighborhood,  every chance he could!

He’d chase tricycles, bicycles and cars and try to
bite their tires.  All our neighbors knew Art well
and they all wished he’d get runover and go to hell!

He loved to roll in…you know what! And stink up the house,
then hide under the couch.
My grandma would yell, “Jackie, you get that stinking dog out of here,
before I kill him!” I would chase him all over the house until he’d make
it out the back door; and the the game would start all over once more!

Every once in a while, he’d kill a big, fat rat and bring it into the house and drop
it at my Grandma’s feet. She would scream and throw things at him and yell at me!
I would have to carry off the damn dead rat! This  calamity went on for years, until
one day Art passed his last fart and died at the age of twelve. I buried him in the backyard
and sadly said just a few words over his head…
 “Good-riddance, you little wire-haired fart!”
