If I ever wanted to brag,
I would not want to be a fool;
Because it is kind of a drag,
For never following the rule.
Would I happen to be so bold,
Or would it just be too uncouth;
If I went ahead and just told,
That I would be telling the truth.
But I am going to spare you,
So that no one would ever think;
I am trying to cause you to,
Going out and drive you to drink.
More of me than what He does see,
That the Lord already has seen;
Or that He may hear about me,
That He has not heard that has been.
Because of the excess amount,
Of revelations that I had;
As I try to remove the doubt,
And once again I can be glad.
To keep me from becoming vain,
I am forced in dealing with it;
Satan torments since he does reign,
Upon earth over my merit.
I beg the Lord to take away,
Iniquities that plagues me so;
Since the tempter has made me stray,
No matter where that I may go.
But His kindness is all I need,
To give me strength when I am weak;
His power will help to succeed,
And remembering what I seek.
So I will brag then even more,
About my weakness deep within;
On the hardships I lock the door,
So no longer can create more sin.
