Make a spectacle of yourself they say!
Buy a pair today!
Don’t delay!
Your health fund will pay.

Blinking bashfully, your eyes are drier than the Desert.
They have gone wonky, Soon you will need Simpson and his Donkey!
Our perceptions caught in a time warp.
Load the light through a kaleidoscope of thoughts.
Failing eyes type font a swirl.
Dam this book I want to hurl.

Down the street of dread, new glasses for the head.
Frames for the face choose your pair don’t despair just turn for help!
Eyeballs come alive with specs on the nose.
Balance those glasses, look up & down, then left & right.
The optometrist has got it right.
Tweak of the frame.

Walking out of the shop with a fashioned face,
Your minds in race to exit this place.
Down the street your feet are shuffling to a new line of freedom.

Life through the lenses, faces in the street holding sway with the day.
Specs changing heads into different types.
One for day & some for night.
Frames for the dames with lots of flair
Hours of time went into choosing that pair!.

But my dears they fit around your ears,
Just have fun chasing your specs,
Oh where did I leave them?
I need them fast this dilemma, Oh blast!
Put them on a string,
Oh what! were have they gone.

Life & love come up roses,
When your glasses sitting on your noses.
Age gently!
