JUST A CHRISTIAN STORY She was born one rainy night some twenty odd years ago.
A freckle face and big blue eyes kind of cute and all
She grew up so independent and thought she could do it all
So we just kept praying--praying through it all.

Then one day a few years ago she came so proud and tall.
Said she had joined the army where she could help us all.
She went through basic training then a soldier she became.
So we just kept praying--praying through it all.

Well she shipped out to Afghanistan along way from home.
Her letters told the story of all the things she saw.
The dead and the dying the killing she had to do.
She said dad tell mom I am fine!
For I keep praying--praying through it all.

Well she is home now with a family all her own
I ask her about the horror that she must have saw.
She'll just stand there proud and tall and say.
I just kept praying--praying
And God brought me through it all.

She still stands proud and tall salutes the Flag
And say God Bless America Forever
I'll keep on praying and praying
And He will help us through it all.
