One more time if just this day
If just once these words would play
The strings all have attached to hearts
That special place where life is sparked
There where you are right at home
There at times where felt are you alone
Yet not so fast dear reader, friend
It's so much more please bring your ear to lend
A word spoken, whispered this day
A train of thought for you Christ saved
It was much more than just an act
It was, then some beyond all pacts
To bring you close who strays so far
To bring an end to aches that scar
Your soul shall thirst as once before
It searches now to heal what sores
Life this day a chapter lived
A page to turn, yours to live
Yet haste you do and leave behind
The One who saved last on your mind
Encounter yours you let slip by
A stranger seen as passerby
If just one word would penetrate
Your callous skin before too late
Becomes of you and your last breath
A passing thought of you no less
