A LESSON IN LIFE
Life is a journey on which we embark
Learning that it`s no stroll in the park,
Some paths are easy with no cares
Some are full of pitfalls and snares.
We may have problems along the way
A lot may be trivial I daresay,
Some can weigh heavy upon our mind
With seemingly no solution we find.
Then there are the people that we meet
They can be kind or full of deceit,
We have to work out which they are
Or on our hearts they leave a scar.
If we get hurt then all is not lost
A lesson must be learnt at all cost,
Forget what hurt you in the past - do
But never forget what it taught you.
