These things as said by the Amen,
A witness so faithful and true;
Repeated time and time again,
Which has been spoken unto you.
He knows all of what you have done,
And neither are you cold nor hot;
But as lukewarm you are the one,
And for Heaven bound you are not.
Christ wishes you were hot or cold,
Instead of being just lukewarm;
Because you are brazen and bold,
You are not the heavenly norm.
He will spit you out from His lips,
Not part of the salt of the earth;
Tasting sour from the few sips,
Never experienced rebirth.
You may be rich having much wealth,
But cash is no good in Heaven;
If illness strikes spiritual health,
Is priceless for the cure given.
But you are so miserable,
And do not realize you are poor;
Since you are intolerable,
And always taking a detour.
You are pitiful and uncouth,
Wearing robes that are made from shame;
And blinded by the naked truth,
For the fiction that you proclaim.
Buy ointment for your eyes to see,
How dirty the white robe you wear;
To make it as pure as can be,
Your confession you have to share.
Change the way that you think and do,
As you listen for His soft voice;
Always remain faithful and true,
When you hear the knock then rejoice.
