Come and let us sing out with joy, Let our lips and tongue deploy; Praising and worshipping the Lord, Show that He is loved and adored. Let us shout gladly to the rock, Quenches our thirst where we walk; The rock is our salvation, For an eternal foundation. Let us come into His presence, As His child for acceptance; Sing with a song of thanksgiving, For He guides my daily living. Our Lord is our great God, And a great king that we applaud; A great King above all others, Telling all sisters and brothers. In His hand are the deep places, In the earth where no man faces; And along with the mountain peaks, Where the snow glistens as it speaks. He made both the sea and the land, Also every grain of sand; As well as rain and air we breathe, All surrounding that we believe. So let us worship and bow down, Wear a smile and not a frown; Let us kneel in front of the Lord, Our Maker who is adored. For He is our God and King, Goodness and mercy He does bring; As His children under His care, Giving so much for us to share. Like a shepherd that herds the sheep, As He watches He will not sleep; So listen whenever He speaks, He is giving for what one seeks. Copyright © 2014 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
