Jesus Christ has come back, And been raised from the dead; What God does that you lack, Nourish life with His bread. First fruits that was asleep, Died and brought back to life; Thought as gone some did weep, No one could endure strife. Since a man had brought death, Man also brought life back; Adam caused the last breath, Going down the wrong track. Through Adam we will learn, That each of us must die; Each person takes their turn, On their death bed they lie. But through Christ we shall live, For if you do believe; A new life Christ will give, So no need for to grieve. For Christ is the first fruits, They who wait His return; Their faith does have firm roots, Of a new life they earn. So as the end arrives, Those who belong to Him; And life once again thrives, As no one will feel grim. Christ will give the Father, The kingdom of the earth; Humans rule no further, Giving this place new worth. A new age will then dawn, As Christ will start His reign; All evil will be gone, No suffering or pain. Copyright © 2014 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
