First off thank you for all your messages of care
I was just accused of being racial
That I stole this country from the Indians
That I put chains on--that the most confusing
My Great Grandma would be a little confused too
It was she who was on the shores to great the new immigrants
My family is racially mixed with Asian blood
OK my wife is Canadian and English blood
Irish I sometimes blame her for Northern Ireland
Which I understand is really mostly Scottish
But neither of us was involved
And we feel it is time to get over it
I suppose my biggest crime is there are police in my family
There are Judges and Lawyers and Indian Chiefs
I was also accused of typos

I do not riot in the street or damage buildings
Every member of my family is or has been college educated
I started out living in what was considered the ghetto
We were the poorest of the poor but I got over it
At one time in my life I held three jobs that no one else wanted
I could not work at the Post Office though fully qualified
Because they needed more black candidates
The lady taking the exam with me asked me for the answers
She couldn't understand the questions she got the job
I wanted to be a policeman at the port of Seattle
They were hiring only woman and blacks or Asians
I even put my race down as Native American Indian
I got over it and broom-ed flower at Fisher Flour
Unloaded trucks at Lasme Air freight and baggage at Greyhound
At one time I held two eight hour jobs and part time went to college
Please do not use the race card on me
Not all cops are good not all blacks or other races are bad
What is bad is property damage stealing and being stupid
Referring to me as being racial and then calling me white
