I was three years old
But I remember the sirens
My Mother in tears
The blinds being drawn
Boeing was a target
and we lived six blocks away
I remember Japanese ladies
coming to out house for food
Grandpa being called a traitor
They were Japanese Americans
Grandpa and I stood and salute the flag
We did the same for 9-11
I value all those who serve for me
Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guard
The National Guard, Policeman, fireman
Oh, and the uniform I wore, Air force
On this day I salute you all
Hopefully someday violence well end
Tell then these are the people who keep us free
