Their best of years they gave to you
You they loved and misses too
Your child, your friend, your confidant
Today your loss pains what you want
Pitter patter of paws once heard
Across the room, memories now stir
A better time you both once knew
Better on heart, on yours they drew
Be not dismayed, today they play
With new found friends this very day
Until you come to be as one
To feel on cheek wet kiss, then some
Life was good as you pampered
This canine loved at home still heard
As time shall come for you to see
Tai Tai again, destiny decrees
To Tina, all puppies go to Heaven
Written for Tina, coworker and friend
upon losing her dog of 14 years
