IF IT BE HIS WILL

My wife & I at my U.S. Air force Security Police Reunion
Wright-Patterson AFB in October of 2011 in Dayton, Ohio.

At times the pain I deal with is very extreme
Waking up suddenly from a very restless sleep
Those sudden spasms of muscles is excruciating

It is the pain that I now face more and more
A left over reminder from my own time in war
Just one of the disabilities I am now facing

I can feel bitter at times due to this fate
But in reality my fate could have been worse
My own life could have ended in South Vietnam

But instead I have been counted as a survivor
I came back home to my own family eventually
Thousands of others had never got this chance

So regardless of these disabilities now faced
I have been truly blessed by God in Heaven above
I am so grateful for all the blessing received

I will continue to face each and every new day
Regardless of all the painful memories & results
It is a very small price that I have paid since

the many issues and the results from our own time serving in war.
