You are the time eternal, identical with the seconds,
Minutes, hours, days, months, years,and the aeons!
O Great Goddess, who has thousand heads and eyes,
Bow to You, appearing splendid with a thousand lotus
like hands and feet; To Thee,minuter than the minutest
Greater than the greatest, Obeisance, Obeisance!

O Most beautiful Mother Sri Lalita, the nether worlds
Constitute Your feet; Neptune and Saturn Your knees,
Venus is Your waist, earth is Your belly and the cosmos
Your heart; Heaven is Your face; the Sun, Moon and the fire
Are your eyes, O Mother, the four quarters form Your arms
The winds are Your breaths; the Scriptures are Your words;
The Creation and formation of the world is Your happy sport
Siva, the very embodiment of the Supreme Consciousness
Is Your sole companion; the bliss of the absolute existence
Is Your pure diet and Your residence is the hearts of sages.
The worlds constitute Your forms visible and invisible!

The clouds are Your tresses and the stars are your flowers.
Righteous laws are Your arms and all the destructive forces
Are thy weapons; virtuous vows and strict observances
Are the nails of Your hands and feet, and the utterances
Of words: Swaha, Swadha, Aum, which enliven the worlds
Constitute Your breasts. The breath-control of Brahma is
Your nose; the Goddess of speech, Your tongue; meditation
Is Your excellent intellect; Power of Dharma is Your mind!
The trees are the hair on Your body and the Dawn, Your robe!
The past, present and future constitute Your physical form
You are appearing in the form of the entire universe, although
You are abiding in the hearts of all as light invisible to world!

Of Your sport created distinction between names and forms!
Obeisance, Obeisance to the Divine Mother, at whose behest
The ether, fire, Sun, Moon, air, water and the Earth function!
Obeisance, Obeisance to the Goddess who is Omnipotent
By whom the ether is supported and in whom the Sun rises!
Obeisance, Obeisance to the Goddess in whom the universe
Takes its origin, soundly rests and at proper time gets merged!
Obeisance to Her the sole mother and father of the universe!
