A friend gave me this homework assignment
And this is where it went
I hope it pleases thee
It's from the heart of me

SALLY....

It's too dark
in here there's no spark,
my heart turned off the power
indeed my darkest hour!
Looking inside so deep
for just a ray to peep,
thru the darkness
if only the sun would give my heart a kiss!
They said I used to spread
sunshine from my bed,
of words that i would pen
but the glow went away back then!
Now that spark that glow
is over the rainbow,
in every perfect dream
you will see outside and inside beam!
It's never when I'm awake
only dreams take,
the dark away
on any given day!
