'' World Politicians ''
Our alien visitors made a mistake,
When they arrived here on planet Earth,
What was real and what was fake?
Of truth there was a dearth.
The ability to travel billions of miles,
Overshadowed by being naοve,
Meant that soon they'd lose their smiles,
In fact very soon they would grieve.
If truth be told they were easily fooled,
Their intelligence though way beyond ours,
Was taken over by our Earthlings who ruled,
All we wanted was control of their powers.
The Martians believed everything they were told,
They didn't know the meaning of lies,
On our leaders promises they were sold,
Which would soon lead to their demise.
We promised them the Sun and also the moon,
They believed we were being so kind,
Though it won't be happening anytime soon,
To our deceit the poor souls were blind.
Here was a species with the universe at their feet,
They had powers beyond our wildest dreams,
Yet with some low life humans they could not compete,
Deception was just one of our schemes.
By the time they found out that Earthlings were mad,
Their ships had been reverse engineered,
The mess we had made was more than sad,
To a life here on Earth they're now geared.
We had wrecked their craft and all it entailed,
For them no more universal missions,
An internal enquiry showed where they had failed,
First contact was with,
