 Penniluck's legacy

We Share The Sky

While my daughter Angela was more than five hundred miles away we gazed at the stars and I couldn`t help but tell her of their beauty until she reminded me she too could see the same stars as me.

Yes you and me
Both can see
The twinkling stars
And maybe Mars
High up in the canopy
Of silver grey,
As bright as day,
As they, reflect upon
The frosted grass,
Like twinkling glass
Each a tiny gem
We bow and say Amen, Amen.
Glittering so real
That we can almost
Feel them in our palm,
A sky so clear and calm,
A balm to cold
And growing old.
Such beauty to be found
In sky, on ground,
Frost so white
All gleaming bright
And now my baby,
Sweet goodnight.
Before I go
You must know
`Though far apart
You`re in my heart
We share the earth
And have since birth
We share the sky
Yes, you and I.
