GUITAR PEOPLE WHO SING TOO!

Testifying to this afternoon
Won't be awake for all the moon
To travel through the heavenly skies
Tonight it's left to close my eyes

Remembering why Fridays are for fun
Turn off Dr. Phil; now, write and run
To the singer I am stuck on
The yelling women on TV gone

Listening to her powerful voice
Guitar people leave you no choice
Except to think of dance
Influencing this souls chance

To leave the norm of fifty-one
Pretend I am sixteen until they're done
With all the people listening like me
From one day old to perhaps a hundred and three

Experiencing age I'm told is life
Wanting a music world without the strife
A fantasy in verse filling all my senses
Where I'm a wild mare breaking down the wooden fences

Trapping power in legs that were once strong
Into me comes this other life's song
Empowering a high or low note
Guitar people who sing too have my vote

Playing around with those strings
Finger picking my peace sings
And nothing else will matter
Except the notes they shatter

Spinning worry about what's not controlled
Hugging my guitar I am rolled
Out of this old flesh turning
Into a spiritual air that's burning

Heating up this old soul delightfully
Melting the cold pain deep in the free
Of the freedom guitar people who sing inspire
Amy Lee your voice sets space on fire

Entertaining spiritually in atmosphere
Floating through all to hear
The reverberation of sound
Let it twirl convoluted bound

Flying on wings of music clear
Up up to another planet where
Down down to where breathing sea
Gliding on powerful the voice of Amy Lee

Listening: close those eyes
Seeing more than these gray skies
Brilliant grace awaits, years melt
I've played my guitar and felt

Sensations that seem from another way
The peace we long for to stay
To the all of guitar people who sing
Sending out thanks for the youth you bring

To me
For the world to plea
For more
As I go through this Open Door.
