I am so miserable,
Why did my mother born me;
For I am despicable,
Many others do not see.
I am a man, who argues,
Quarrels with all of the earth;
For I hold different views,
That are having much more worth.
I never lend or borrow,
Anything from anyone;
Being a man of sorrow,
With me nothing will get done.
Everyone curses me,
Except for my God and Lord;
Because He will rescue me,
And it cannot be ignored.
He makes my foes plead with me,
At the times of disaster;
When distressed He sets me free,
And fade away much faster.
God will give away my wealth,
And all the treasures I loot;
Then give me spiritual health,
So that I can bear much fruit.
For the price of all my sin,
In my life that I have done;
Has corrupted me within,
Can be given to His Son.
As long as I will confess,
Of all that I have done wrong;
He will relieve the distress,
Letting torment not prolong.
God will make me serve my foes,
Because of my desire;
Causing me to feel the woes,
From the wrath of His fire.
His words I found and I ate,
For they tasted with delight;
Then I pleaded that my fate,
Maneuver me from the night.
