God will promise us peace,
Remove beasts from the land;
And hostilities cease,
Rich soil from the sand.
Then His sheep can be safe,
When sleeping in the woods;
No longer as a waif,
That was threatened by hoods.
God will pour His blessings,
And places on my hill;
Sending rain as it brings,
An ample yield to thrill.
Showers as a blessing,
For the trees in the field;
Come harvest will bring,
Such an abundant yield.
It will produce much fruit,
As the land will yield crops;
Nourishment through the root,
Reaping that never stops.
Then we will know the Lord,
In truth is our God;
And must not be ignored,
Rather honored and laud.
He will break off the yoke.
Free us from being slaves;
Take off the bonds that choke,
And free us from the graves.
No longer to be prey,
To the tyrants that lead;
That made us go astray,
And had caused us to bleed.
Then we will know the Lord,
Truly as our God;
And be in one accord,
As we honor and laud.
