Humpty Dandy had a great fall
Down the stairs backwards
Boy did he bawl
Part of him on the stairs
The rest under a door in the hall
Now Dandy must thank
As the ambulance came screaming
Found him on the floor Heaven dreaming
The Angels of mercy were there waiting
Wife in the rear ambulance tailgating
Their trying to put Humpty Dandy together again
No more stairs backwards well he descend
One thing good Dandy is a fighter
A week in the hospital ten pounds lighter
The nurses poked and scoped found new things
In this old body the pain it brings
But it is better waking up wearing white wings
