What can we say that we have got,
Discovered by the ancestors;
A means for erasing a blot,
And available to others.
We should have good reason to brag,
But it just does not seem as right;
For it would be kind of a drag,
When you are humbled in the light.
When people work and get their pay,
It is not considered a gift;
But something they have earned they say,
Through the toils working their shift.
Those who do not work but believe,
In God will have His approval;
Confesses sin will then receive,
Forgiveness through His removal.
Those who are blessed God will approve,
Of people without earning it;
Through confession He will remove,
Ill-gotten games they merit.
Blessed are those who disobey,
They can also be forgiven;
By confessing whence that they stray,
They will be allowed in Heaven.
All of their sins will be pardoned,
Forgotten wiped out of the Book;
The heart of God will not be hardened,
About those things that they forsook.
Bless the ones, who sin no longer,
And no longer tempted by lust;
For their faith has gotten stronger,
And in Jesus they put their trust.
How then was it ever reckoned,
And how did God ever approve;
Because the Father has beckoned,
To His children that do improve.
