Lemonade Twins

Lemonade Twins

To my twin sons Billy and Glen who are 45 years old today the 20/2/15 May you both have a wonderful birthday love always Mum xxx

My tipple while I carried you
Was lots of lemonade
I put so much weight on
That all the doctors said
Now my dear you are too fat
Even with a baby
So you must cut down on that
Now listen well young lady
For thirty days no lemonade
I did not drink a drop
But no matter, did not fade
Oh what a lot of rot
Accused of telling fibs to them
I`d put on much more weight
I got really mad right then
And said in such a state
Have you considered two in there
I pointed to my belly
It moves around an awful lot
When trying to watch the tele
No scans back then, so exray
And guess what they all found
Two hearts beating happily
Just underneath that mound
Billy yes you won the race
And looked just like your dad
Glen the youngest long and slim
Oh what a bonnie lad
Just a double off your twin
Which really is not bad
Years flew by, you`d lots of fun
Playing swap in class
Teachers they were on the run
But you two just always laughed
Now you`re men of middle age
With families of your own
And today you turn a page
How fast that time has gone
You are still so young yet
So make your dreams come true
Live your lives without regret
Be kind to all won`t you
Don`t forget along the way
To keep in touch with me
Hear my words these words I say
I love you both you see
Happy birthday Billy
Have a great one Glen
Hope that I will see you soon
Lots of love, `til then.
