Fret not of the evil doers,
Nor jealous of their pursuers;
Do not admire wicked things,
Any of their handiwork brings.
They will quickly dry up like grass,
Shatter like a window pane glass;
And wither away like green plants,
Having been eaten by red ants.
Trust in the Lord and do good things,
Give thanks for the goodness He brings;
Live in the land and be faithful,
And doing what is delightful.
Always be happy with the Lord,
He will give you your just reward;
God sees desires of the heart,
And your dreams He will never thwart.
Commit your ways unto the Lord,
And your prayers will not be ignored;
Entrust in Him and He will act,
On your behalf He will react.
Trust also in Him and the past,
Will then be forgotten real fast;
And will cause the blessings to flow,
As they give a radiant glow.
He will make your righteous light shine,
While worshipping the Divine;
Be brighter than the noon day sun,
Long after the day will be done.
Surrender yourself to the Lord,
And start being in one accord;
So just wait patiently for Him,
And He will give spiritual vim.
Get in the habit to be kind,
So you can keep a healthy mind;
Forget anger and leave the rage,
For you are well beyond that stage.
