Spring Soon

The snows are slowly melting,
Watering the earth,
The brooks and rivers flowing...
Cold, and clear, and fast.
The ground is gently softening,
And yielding blades of grass.

The earliest of springtime blooms,
Pushing through the soil. ..
Yellow leafs, turn to green,
With each passing day.

The dormant trees awaken,
Their tiny bud's appear,
And fill the air with sweetness,
Drifting on the breeze.

To wait so long...yet here it is. ..
Spring is truly here.
