I often wonder when time will come
To say goodbye when all is done
Though in my mind I search tomorrows
For answers still with time I borrowed
This loan of breath still comes to me
Unknown are things yet still to be
Life that draws nearer to end
Death's knock on door how soon and when
This puzzled piece may just become
A message read by one, someone
That thinks at times as I do now
As breath is drawn given somehow
Somehow at times we seem to feel
We shall awake, this day we'll steal
Another day to live, to splurge
The sum of fears cast to the winds
In life we dock at port of gravest sin
Waste the chance to live and be
As CHRIST would ask of all set free
Yet gambled is this term reprieved
Forgiveness paid, ones to believe
Today a chance to roll once more
To tell of Him, the way, the door
To lead one more to greater fold
Embraced by Love who longs to hold
You who reads one more if just this one
You called daughter and too son
If one more step, today make haste
Make good of time given we waste
