 POETICAL ME

Much need indeed

Words hard pressed leaving their sighs
Came before my tired eyes
This morn, this day I felt their pain
Enough theirs sought much needed change

Asking myself what can I write?
To warm their souls of burdened plights
Extending thoughts by letters bound
If read relief to them would ground

Broken hearts will speak volumes
Lifetime theirs spent, their words, last breath
Resuscitate of them what's left

Prayers still prayed to bring to end
Whispered throughout hunger to mend
Alone the part that hurts the most
Almost alive much more like ghosts

Dig deep I say to soul within
This shell of man help now begin
To say something they have not heard
To touch with words their hearts disturbed

Though you are weak there is much strength
Write, make haste and end this wait
If for a day feed them what's left of you
The morsel left, help get them through

And so I wrote this one for them
Offered relief to them attend
If one more time if just this time
Let them through you hear they are mine

Much need indeed

For my poetic sisters Doris and venusaphrodite
