This Man of Sorrows ( repost ) for Easter By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Throughout my land of wilderness
Where sand does mix with bitterness
Where love falls short of care and giving
and looks away are unforgiving
Here this town of cobble stones
Was chased Mary by those with stones
Here the first without one sin
Changed the course of could have been
My search to find would miss again
A chance to speak and make a friend
Of Him who calmed and walked the sea
That raged with storm of Galilee
There I missed the boat again
Where Twelve embarked along with Him
Who made amends for every man
Who soon would save the countless damned
I walked and ran until feet blistered
Chasing Truth and spoke to sisters
Of Lazarus who loved this man
This man of sorrows faster I ran
Yet my quest to sit before
This man of peace and not of war
Would end my journey to find Him
Impaled on cross for every sin
My eyes now saw what brings tomorrow
This man more GOD, this man of sorrows
Who laid to rest these doubts of mine
Upon my cross buying man time
